OBV alumni nominated for top award

Shazia Awan

Entrepreneur Shazia Awan, a graduate of OBV’s Welsh Assembly shadowing scheme, is up for nomination in the prestigious category of ‘Entrepreneur of the year’ at the Asian Woman of Achievement awards.

The gala taking place tonight at the London Hilton, Park Lane, will see Awan compete for the award with other high-flying Asian businesswomen.
Awan, who stood as a Conservative PPC in Sheffield at the 2010 election, will be hoping to scoop the top prize, and judging by the popularity of ‘Peachy Pink’ so far she has a good chance of doing just that.

Awan’s ‘peachy pink’ range of shapers, are designed to trim, tackle cellulite, massage the skin and help to flush toxins from the body. Awan’s success in securing the backing of one of Britain’s leading high street retailers is testament to her natural eye for business, and Awan will be hoping the range will go from strength to strength.

OBV conveys it best wishes for Shazia tonight.
