Mag has a hot Rush

Rushanara Ali is hot news. The Observer certainly thinks so, as it has named the Labour candidate for Bethnal Green as it’s top rising political star in their “Hot List 2010.”

The paper’s culture magazine ranks her 16 in a list of 25 up and coming stars across all fields such as film, books and theatre.

Rushanara Ali’s political convictions are grounded in her experiences growing up in east London under a Conservative government. “You couldn’t help but be angry at the waste of talent and resource,” she says. A Labour party member since the age of 17, whose CV includes stints at the Home and Foreign Offices, Ali has always remained most active in her own community.”

We’re sure this positive coverage will help Ali’s bid to become MP. Good luck to her.
