Young generations – express yourselves!

Get ready to ‘Express Yourself’ OBV’s upcoming youth event! Book your places now to avoid disappointment!

As part of Operation Black Vote’s ongoing commitment to getting young people involved in politics, we are proud to announce an event in January called ‘Express Yourself.’

Combining the crème de la crème of London’s talent on the comedy circuit, along with performances from a range of rappers, poets, speakers of the written word, the event will also include speeches from young Parliamentary hopefuls.

The event will aim to inspire young people to express themselves with their vote, and will encourage them to become active members of their communities.

OBV is actively promoting the use of expression through performing arts and we hope that by holding this event we can promote encourage and inspire the next generation of BME citizens to be the very best they can be.

The event is FREE, and will be held at the Rich Mix centre in Bethnal Green, on January 18th from 6.30pm.

Brimming with talent and energy the event will offer the chance to see performances from Kat the comedian, Slim, Logic MC from People’s Army, plus keynote speeches from politicians Chuka Umunna, Shaun Bailey and Sarah Teather, and Jacob Sakil, the young mayor of Lewisham.

Spaces are limited and are going fast, so to ensure your place at what will prove to be an inspiring evening book your place now!
