Event organiser Sue Buckman thanked all those who took part and helped raise nearly £2,000.

Buckman will continue her fundraising efforts by completing a trek in the Abel Tasman National Park in New Zealand.

At the end of the walk a slightly exhausted Simon Woolley stated: ‘I admire very much what the Mayor (pictured above) is doing.

‘Anyone with children will know how important these baby care units are.

‘Well done to the Mayor and Sue Buckman for organising such a fun event’.
