Labour may have lost it, Rupert Murdoch’s Sun tells us, but the News International tycoon himself looks like he’s also lost it if this report is anything to go by
In the same week that Britain’s top tabloid backed the Tories, over at Murdoch’s other flagship newspaper, the New York Post, he fired an editor for apparently objecting to a racist cartoon.
Murdoch gave Sandra Guzman the sack after she sent kicked up a fuss over a cartoon depicting a dead monkey who wrote President Obama’s fiscal stimulus bill. She said she “neither commissioned nor approved it.”
What chance Murdoch’s new-found friends in the Conservatives will make their voices heard on this matter the next time the Australian media mogul drops by? Answers on a postcard please.
